How to claim warranty in ebay

Hi all,

I bought a Netatmo Welcom Camera from ebay as Brand New on the 27th April but after 3 months time My camera is not attaching to my Mobile app and not working. I raised this to Netatmo support and after multiple troubleshoot they advice me to contact the reseller as they don't sell directly to Australia. Since then I tried to contact seller and ebay but not getting any help and ebay responded they will send an email to seller but still no reply. And could see after 30/90 days no support from ebay while the warranty period is more than 1 year. In that case what should I do?

Was the seller an authorized reseller of the camera?

Please have a look at the many warranty threads on this board. It is doubtful that you will have any luck.

Warranty is worthless on Ebay, unless they are an authorised seller AND based in Australia.

Did you buy it from a Chinese seller? There is no way to get warranty from an overseas seller, regardless of what they write on their listing. Since Netatmo do not even sell directly to Australia, unfortunately you are out of luck.

Usually you have 30 days in Ebay after getting the item for testing. After that time period, you have 180 days in Paypal to open a dispute, but you are well out of time for both.

If you want a proper warranty, buy direct from a retail store.

I bought a Philips PerfectCare PowerLife GC3920 through ebay and Best Buy On Line Pty Ltd Heidelberg West Vic 3081 does the 24 month warranty apply to this item

Yes, IF the seller is an Authorised Australian seller/reseller of the product, otherwise no.

Before you purchase anything/anywhere on line it is essential you check out all details.

A promise on a computer screen means nothing. 

Did you check seller feedback prior to purchase? Were they an authorised seller/reseller?  If no then forget it.
