How to report 4 Suss Listings all selling the same product

I would like to contact ebay about 4 suss listings of the same product by 3 different usersnames 2 with zero feedback and the other user has a rating of 4 items sold with a total of $3.18 it would cost more than that in postage fee's from china where 2 items were sent to US and 1 to UK. (I think they did this to build up a good rating score)

Anyway the users have used identical wording (with spelling mistakes) and photos in all 4 sales.

And another thing that has made me suspicious is the items I bought weigh a combined weight of 22.4 kilos the Seller from China says the items are coming via Australia post prepaid express post of a international  box of 10 kilos when Australia posts doesn't operate in china for starters, nor do they have such a product.

This seller uses a chinese web based email service like hotmail and doesnt reveal their real name, their company name or website.

The combined 4 sales amount to $1158.00 not a bad sum to scam from buyers.

Unfortunately ebay doesnt really offer an easy way to report suss listings of people running scams

I would like someone in security to contact me so I can give them all the details and stop the scammers withdrawing the funds from paypal and absconding with the cash.

You can try contacting Trust and Safety but on previous form they are unlikely to do anything unil the listing have ended and it is too late.

Apart from this you can report the listings individually from the listing page.

The only other avenue to get anything done quickly has now been removed by the Mods on ebay's instructions, so I have no other suggestions, sorry.

hi disco-dmx

The way to report the completed listings is to click on "View Original Listing" then scroll down and look on the right hand side and click "Report Item" and for current listings simply scroll down and look to the right for "Report Item".

Then choose something appropriate from the three drop down lists.  From your description I would recommend choosing 1.Listing Practices; 2.Fraudulent listing activities; 3.You suspect that a listing is fraudulent.  Then a blue button "Continue" will appear, click that and then you will be able to click the final blue button "Send Report" or click "Cancel" if you change your mind.

After doing this eBay will be able to look at all the ins and outs of those accounts and listings and make a decision as to their validity.

As for PayPal, no money will be "taken" unless you authorise it to be taken.  You could ask for a mutual cancellation of the sale which may or may not be forthcoming.  Someone else hopefully will be along to explain about ringing PayPal and eBay in relation to the funds (I'm not good at that yet) and what the best process is for that.

I hope this is a good start and I hope you have a positive outcome.

BoH

In the absence of any announcements informing us (we the community and users of eBay) of any effective means of communicating this issue or seeking assistance, one must believe that scamming and the relevant protagonists have suddenly ceased to exist on this platform; that the situation is under control and your concerns are unfounded.

I hope that this helps and that the current situation brings you great comfort.
