I believe that the seller of the item I am after is biding against me.

The bidding is increaseing without someone bidding. The auto bidding is giving the seller the ability to bid using other user names to increase the bids. This is why I stopped using EBAY a couple of Years ago. I see nothing has changed.

dave, if another bidder placed a bid higher than yours, eBay, not the Seller increases their bid each time you nibble bid.

It is not the usual pattern for shill bidders to enter high proxy bids using multiple ids, the way that works they are much more likely to win the item and that is not what a shiller wants to do.

Shill bidding is not as prevalent as a lot of people think, if you look at the bidders record you can see how many bids they have made and how many of them were with that seller, in most cases it shows that there has almost certainly not been any shill bidding going on.

If you can provide the exact item ttle then we can give it the once over to see if anything untoward is going on.

I am not concerned about shill bidders anyway, I know how much I consider an item is worth and enter that in the last few minutes using a snipe bid.
