I bought a 9" android google tablet that is in chinese.

Can anyone offer sugestions as how to change to the language to english.  I have approached the seller but have received a less than satisfactory response. The tablet is of no use to me at the moment and as I work in the Gibson Desert and heading out that was in a week it would be awsome to have it up and running. Cheers Kate.

I had the same issue with a mobile phone which I bought from China and as the manual was also in Chinese, I was unable to change the default language to English. However, I finally solved the problem by simply googling "how to change a Chinese android mobile phone to English" and there were literally scores of videos on how to do so. Assuming your tablet is running the android OS, I suspect that if you do the same thing, you'll have the solution in no time at all. Good luck.

Go to any Chinese Student on a Bus, or go to your Local Chinese Take Away, they will be more than HAPPY to do it for you for nothing.  Had same problem as you, with my brand new 9" Tablet from Shen Zen in China.

We are lucky we have a share house 3 doors from us, with International Students who Study at Adelaide University. Great quiet students, and always friendly, and say hello to us at the local bus stop.  Give that a try.  Hope it works out for you.
