I have not received my item. It never arrived. I paid insurance.

The seller, after demanding I leave excellent feedback would not refund my money.  I left no feedback.  They demanded I state that I would not leave feedback after receiving my refund in full. I did this.  Feedback time has now expired.  They are offering now only half of my money back.  I opened a case in the Resolution Centre.  That was not helpful, no feedback from eBay, and nothing from the seller.  What are my options??

I think for members to give advice you will have to give a bit more information

..  what date did you buy

... was it from an Australian seller  or from overseas

... did  you pay by paypal

if you have run out of time for a paypal resolution, there is not much you can do.

Thanks for your help.  Since posting this Ebay have come back on board and have been very helpful in obtaining my refund, although it is not the full amount which was promised by the seller.

I purchased my item and paid for it on 5 May 2014.

The seller requested it be paid for via internet banking.  Well I have learnt my lesson well!  Ony use PayPal.

I purchased my item from a seller whom I thought and it was stated on their Ebay page that they were in Melbourne when in fact this seller sells out ot Hong Kong and posts from Melbourne.  Be careful all you buyers, please dont get caught as I did.

It has taken 2 and a half months to receive any refund.

I am very happy with Ebay's help via phone calls.  They have been great to deal with.

Are you saying that you paid by bank deposit but still received a partial refund from ebay or paypal??  How did you manage that?

If the listing stated that the item was located in Melbourne and that is where it was posted from then you have no cause for complaint.  It does not matter where the seller is located as long as the location of the item is correct.

You could have seen that information when checking the seller's feedback....it states where the seller was registered.

In the absence of specifics Lyndal, it sounds like the eBay Resolution Centre was able to negotiate the partial refund which was originally offered by the seller, as there's no way that Paypal would have become involved in a direct debit transaction. After more than 2½ months I'd suggest that the OP was very fortunate to have received anything at all from the seller.
