I have noticed that a lot of buyers have not left one single feedback for any of their sellers but they have received plenty of feedback from the sellers, now surely these buyers could easily leave some feedback for the seller?

Leaving feedback in not compulsory.
Buyers do not have to do it, if they don't want to.

I know that as that was the title of this thread, but to not leave any seller a feedback when the buyer has received up to 80 feedbacks from sellers then surely they could leave some because they have received all these positive feedbacks but have not given a feedback to anyone,to me this isn't in the spirit of buying or selling on ebay.

Just as there are a lot of sellers that don't leave feedback there are also a lot of buyers it's a persons choice if they choose to leave feedback

I agree Zelly, it's the online way of saying thankyou IMO. Our kids have always been taught to say thanks when buying from a store, whats the difference over here?:-)

I think because there is no face to face contact made so then some will say who cares about leaving feedback,I agree in what you have said thebahnfind 100%.And I also know that a lot of sellers don't leave any feedback not just buyers, but when there is no feedback left and only received I just can't see why not at least just to say thanks.

I am primarily a seller and always leave feedback for my wonderful customers. However I don't stress when it isn't left in return. What I do find awkward are the very few customers who leave negative feedback or neutral feedback without contacting the seller. Most sellers will actively help when things go wrong, which fortunately isn't very often.
Zelly I do agree, the thank you is important and often forgotten in our frantic world today, but not worth stressing over.:-)

Totally agree and had a horrible experience today from a buyer. eBay have told me I have the right to respond for an unwarranted -ve report which they agreed with. I'm at an early stage where I don't want to sell any more. Wish I could name the culprit.

Perhaps a lot of buyers see Ebay as no different to any other online site they might purchase from - they buy, pay and receive ... without any expectation to leave any form of feedback.
