I smell a dirty rotten rat....

I bought a massage chair last night and went in to check out what others had paid in the past.

OMG... the rat has been exposed.

Check it out for yourselves before I take it any further and report it to ebay just so I have 100% confirmation from in here that shill bidding is going on.

Check out i***1 $1486 just about every time!

I didn't bother going any further. I've been stung too. 😞

:^O Too right tazz and thank you so much for all of your help. ♥

Thanks to everyone else as well.

All I need to do now is cancel the sale as ebay have found no evidence of shill bidding.

A phone call to the seller is my first option...

I have the phone number to call them after 2pm today (they must be in OS).

I plan on letting them know that I believe they're involved in shill bidding and I strongly suspect that they've done shill bidding to me and many others to get the price up on their big ticket items!! 😐 Furthermore... their past listings will be scrutinized and no doubt, any future listings will be watched with interest. B-)

I'm mad as heck and really disappointed that ebay can be so narrow minded and blinkered!X-(

Ebay must be getting robbed of fees as well when the listing is starting at 99 cents and a shill bidder is being used to get the final price to $1500?

The only thing I worry about dixo is that what if I***1 is like me. I have been bidding on chicken coops lately from one seller. I put bids on every time a new one is listed trying to get it within by budget. I have also had more than one coop at a time being bid on from this seller as I need two.

I am not saying that u are right or wrong because I don't know but I would hate to think an honest seller is getting blamed for something out of there control.

Belinda has a good point.  I have one lady who has bid multiple times on one of my items, and has also messaged me to say that she is only prepared to pay $XXX for it, which I have repeatedly declined.  She is very patient, as this has been going on for weeks & weeks on end, bidding on this item price, which always ends up higher than what she has bid. Just saying, it happens.

No, not this time, the same i***l bidder is also bidding on all of their expensive spa baths @ $4,000. It's a well organised scam with more than just one shill bidder involved.

Please remember that this buyer has also won the auctions on a few occasions but has nil FB as well. Does this seller not leave FB (doubtful) or allow a non payer to bid again on their items (even more doubtful)?

I think I would be accepting a strike for that dixo....then appeal it on the grounds of shill bidding. It is pretty sure to be removed.  If it is not removed one strike will not do you much harm.

Yeah lyndal, I'll do that.

It's getting hard to judge just who to trust anymore as this seller has high FB and appeared to be doing everything right.

In fact, if the auction price for almost every sold chair hadn't been almost identical I wouldn't have investigated further and picked up on the shill bidding either.

It appears to be very organised and structured in what they're doing. 😐

One ID's prior bid was $700 then shilling took him to $1500. Ok they were prepared to pay $1500 but they shouldn't have. It's wrong on just so many levels.

I should have got the chair for $1350 instead of $1500.

My vent's over now... I'll gladly cop my strike from them... bring it on!
