I though using paypal was compulsory for customer security

I have just purchased the movie the great caruso from a seller and only just noticed they do not offer paypal which I thought was against ebay policy??????

I only use paypal for my own safety and I have asked to pay with paypal (only) or cancel my purchase.

Sellers don't necessarily have to offer Paypal as a payment method, but they are required to offer one of the very few ebay-approved safe-payment methods, which is either Paypal, Paymate (or similar), or their own credit card merchant facility. If they don't, they are in breach of ebay policy.
