When did it fail - 3 days after or not long after you received it?
Did you bid on it or was it buy it now?

$139 portable ice cube maker. They have it now for $179 but out of stock. The item location is Kogarah but is a China based seller.
You really should have filed a claim long before this as you bought this before the 180 day Money Back Guarantee. You bought this item during the 45day rule so i don't like your chances.
You could still try clicking the return item button or see if you can open a PayPal dispute. But i don't think so.
That seller has terrible fb & it would be better to buy an electrical item from a B&M so that you can more easily return it if there is a problem. Some sellers are difficult to get a result from after you have left +fb & i think you have left it too late anyway. But i could well be wrong about that.

In answer to you question about being covered by Australian consumer laws it only applies if the seller is an Australian registered business with an ABN

Hi I thought that I have spoken to the dispute department at Paypal and they are going to try and get a refund for me.
