Is anyone experiencing difficulties with deliveries from China? I ordered something which tracking says was despatched Feb 6 but still have not received it. Is Corona Virus preventing promt deliveries from China and elsewhere?

I have a few items coming from overseas and I'm waiting until 28 days past the last ETA before I take any action. Overseas parcels are taking 2 months plus to get to Oz and possibly another few weeks before delivery.
Tracking is very much hit and miss at the moment, usually my deliveries only get scanned twice, once on lodgement here over the counter and again when they are delivered - nothing in between..............and with international parcels they are often not being scanned into the country, only on delivery, sometimes not even then.

I am waiting on items from China for 11 weeks now. It says it is "In transit" ... still. I know this, the shelves seem to be empty in a lot of shops, especially electronics at the moment. I have been on a few computer Australian sites and so many are out of stock of items from China. Is anyone receive goods from China at the moment?
There are those who say buy Australian. I say to these people unfortunately a very very high percentage of items are not made in Australia, and even if you do buy Australian (sometime double plus the price) these are the same items you purchase direct from China (try purchasing an Australian made computer, hard drive etc.?????). I know the price purchasing here in Australia has advantages like you get it a lot quicker and virtually no chance of not receiving the product, and exchange for faulty goods, but one can only spend what one has.
So I am thinking has the tensions between Australia and China influencing delivery? Is there a go slow on Australian deliveries? Has anyone received goods from china lately in the last 4-6 week?
Not sure if it is safe to purchase from them for the time being, and safe I mean not receiving goods or waiting months and months for delivery. Maybe just the Coronavirus hold up still.
Just food for thought.

I buy a lot from China and have just finished getting items I ordered three months ago. At the moment my stuff seems to be averaging 5 weeks or so. It is annoying but I am being patient because I understand the problems and tracking numbers show that the items are on the way so I am not going to ding the sellers accounts. people just have to be patient.
The hold up has nothing to do with the political grandstanding, but the backlogs in shipping, and Chinese warehouses are still not all open for business yet though that is getting better and those that survived the virus shutdown are quickly getting back to work.

Yes this was in my mind and I have not hassled the suppliers as yet and patients is normally the best way to go when dealing with Chinese orders. But having sad that there is the tin hat negative thought that pops up. Just wondering on any new orders as I have need for some things at the moment. 5 weeks is about norm from china, so if this is the wait then I will go ahead and place a few orders and see what happens. Thank you

I have a seller in HK who I deal fairly regularly with, and I bought some collectables off him on 11th March - they arrived about a week ago.
He has ended his eBay listings at the moment but I'm not sure if that's from COVID-10, the troubles there or the shipping time for his items, I've emailed him but no response yet.

No one is receiving anything from China but they are still happy to take your money, world wide problem, ebay needs to take action now.

Mail delivery from china always was very slow i.e. anything up to a month or more, however, last 3 purchases have failed to arrive after waiting a long time and so I had them cancelled through Paypal and am now refraining from buying anything from China.
I notice even the big stores like Kmart, Target, seem to have a lot of empty shelves and since most of their stuff comes from China I'd say yes, there is a problem in delivery.

That is pretty unfair on the sellers. I hope you refund them when your products arrive as the shipping delays are not their fault. It is taking up to three months for deliveries to arrive from China, did you wait long enough?

Not really - Chinese sellers well and truly know by now that shipping is slower, so they should be accounting for that by increasing their handling time, or limiting themselves to domestic sales and closer international destinations.
If an item doesn't arrive, the buyer is entitled to seek a refund.
