My Grear Grandfathers both ran jewellery stores. One in Richmond & one in Echuca. I would love to own a piece of their work with their names on them and am wondering how I can put the word out? Thanks Robyn

If they had a maker's mark that would be mentioned when a piece of theirs goes up for sale, or it is mentioned on the web in any other capacity, one thing you can do is set up a google alert - you can receive daily emails if someone posts content on the web that includes certain keywords and the like, there'd be a slight delay between receiving emails, but letting google do the (daily) work for you can ultimately save a lot of time and frustration.

Hi

Christopher Jones Smith was 99 Swan St Richmond (died 1891) and Frederick Lachlan McKinnon Sterling worked in partnership with his brother-in-law Walter Sneddon McNee (died 1933) in Echuca and Maryborough, Victoria. I know the Echuca historical society have a watch with his name on the face.

Many thanks Robyn
