..... I won an item in Victoria on Saturday 2nd March. (I am NSW)
Seller emailed me to request payment on Monday 4th March. (at that stage, i hadnt realised i had won it as I hadnt been on the internet over the weekend, and i had placed one bid on this item a few days before)
a tad suprised by the seller demands, but obliged and paid immediately via paypal on 4th March.
On Sunday, the 10th March, I noticed the item in my *purchased* history is still unmarked as posted... so i emailed seller and asked if they could tell me when they posted it as it wasnt marked as such. (i know that not everybody marks items as posted thropugh the ebay system, so I just wanted to double check)
She replies on the same day with appologies that she had her parents staying over, and she FORGOT to post my item!... then she says that Monday (yesterday) is a P/H, so she will post Tuesday (today).
Im like.... WTF!
Im really annoyed.
Im REALLY REALLY annoyed!
I opened an item not received case today. I know it will be posted, and i hope it will eventually arrive... but to simply *forget* to post, after 6 days of having my money, then im sorry, but case open it is!
(delivery handeling time-within 3 days of cleared payment)
Sorry.... just had to rant.
cheers...

I agree with Foxy and Patch and I wonder if it's such a quiet day on the boards that some members feel the need to offer excuses for the seller.
I don't see how a quiet day has any bearing on, or the ability to alter, another member's point of view.
There is no lie or excuse- the seller forgot. It's a reason.
How the buyer reacted to this oversight is a matter under scrutiny. While some will say it's fair. Others think differently.
I also buy a lot off eBay and have never complained about a 3 week turn around- to each their own. If I buy an item last week and it gets delivered this week, I'm more than happy and patient enough to wait. How or when my seller posts is not of my concern. But that's me.

I'm exactly the opposite - if I buy it today I want it delivered yesterday:^O

Buyers are under no obligation to pay straight away and cannot be censured in any way as long as they pay up before a dispute is closed.
Sellers are obliged to post within their stated postage time and most certainly should be censured if they don't.
Closer to 62+ I reckon.
If she is close to 62 then I must have had her when I was 2 ๐

I wouldn't be WTFing. In fact, I probably wouldn't have noticed it wasn't marked as paid.
When I had a look in my PO Box later this week and it wasn't there, I would probably then ask the seller when they had posted. If that jolted their memory and it was there when I had a look in my PO Box at the end of next week, all would be good. Assuming there were no issues with the quality/condition they would get 5 stars, as I would have my item.
I don't buy stuff online on tight timeframes. I know I sometimes don't post stuff until the second business day after payment. And really, if it was posted today, then that is only 5 working days.

Hi OP,
It would get a neg from me
Fancy making demands on a buyer to pay and then not delivering
The only problem I have with that is what rating I would give to a real shonk.
Three negs?

I think encouraging OP to leave a negative is simply not very good advice.
The seller is two - three business days only out on the stated handling time and the seller has responded to the OPs message regarding posting in what seems to be a pretty honest, "casual" fashion,
Ding the stars and write an appropriate feedback comment, but the goods have not even been received yet, they might just be the most amazing ebay purchase ever made by the OP, who knows.
IMO negatives should be reserved for scammers, agro sellers, non-senders and non-communicators when something goes wrong.
I reckon it kinda "devalues" a neg if they are given so freely.

cheers for all *your* opinions and words of advice.
This seller is NEW, only has about 7 feedback, so while i can be leinant on her not knowing how to send an invoice, She could have sent me an email stating .... parents are visiting for a week, and i cant make it to the PO until Blah Blah!
She obviously knows how to email!
I always pay asap. And going by time frame, it was within 35hrs! Auction ended 10pm Saturday night, I paid 8.30am Monday morning.
I have every right to open an INR under these circumstances. I am annoyed i had to chase up my item especially since she emailed me asking for payment. I am annoyed she *forgot* to post. She didnt forget to list the item or to request my payment!!
Some of you might be happy to wait up to 3weeks for items to actually be posted, but not me.
I wont be giving her a neg feedback. It would have to be a complete disasterous transaction with faulty goods and unscrouplous sellers for me to do that! I dont see that here... just a newbie with a seive for a memory!
re: first world problems.... this IS the ebay selling board, in case you forgot! My post here, my issues here, my claims here..are ALL approaiate!

Jane, I should remind you that you're on the buying board, not selling
It's ok, I know old people have bad memories ;\
