Hi,
i was wondering if there is anything I can do about a seller who I believe is misleading potential buyers.
They are selling Lord of the Rings merchandise, advertising at least two items as limited edtion and sold out, when they are open edition pieces and still available from weta at half the price. I have asked questons, all genuine and polite, about items images matching the description and received no replies.
Most of their items are double the price, and I'm guessing they order some of them straight from Weta as the item location says Wellington, NZ. The worst being a ring I can get direct from Weta for about $3600, they have it for $9999.
I guess people need to do their own research on items, but it really annoys me that there are people out there trying to rip other people off.
End rant.
Thanks.

Hopefully most fans of LOTR know the best places (and best prices) to buy the LOTR merchandise from.

At almost $10,000, you are not talking about an impulse buy there.
You would hope people who were that keen would have been looking around, getting prices.
Limited edition items could well be dearer but the fact you haven't received any replies at all to explain why their products are special-well, that would ring an alarm bell with me.
