I bought this item..... Gallium spoon DIY kit
Now i had spent all day looking for a full kit over multiple sites and web pages and by the time I got to this listing I didn't realise it did not come with metal.
Now i can obviously see it says in red writing that the metal does not come with it but at the time I did not notice it. the images make you think it is all included...
Am I right to feel a little bit cheesed off????

They have written that the metal is not included in such a way that it makes you think that the metal is included..
A. comprehensive manual with tips & tricks
B. Gallium metal *not* included with this listing.
C. Bolts, screws, wing nuts, washers
D. Backing plates
E. Durable spoon mold
F. Syringe
If it isn't included, then why put it in the list of contents?

Sorry if you are upset, but it does say twice, point B in black and white and at the bottom in red, that the metal is not included so the seller is not to blame, IMO.

Hi cattys I have looked at the listing and as otehr posters have said it is mentioned twice in the listing that the metal is not included
My OH deals in metal and knowing the weight I would have thought the postage would have been huge if it had been included.
I have just googled the metal and it looks like it is not cheap 25g = $79.00.

I know that it is in the listing twice.. lol... that is why I am not going to complain. I had been looking all day at what one to buy and I think that this is why I didn't see it.
i do think that they need to use a new picture and remove the ones with the spoons in it as it is very confusing.
I have bought 40 grams of the metal today for $64 delivered.

Cattys I agree with you they should not have the metal in the picture or the spoon.
Good to hear you have got the metal for a decent price, just out of interest how many spoons will it make?
The kind of metal my OH deals in has to be melted in an crucible at very high temperatures so I was interested to read that this metal can melt in your hand. The metal he uses also costs a fortune and weights a ton

same company... exact same picture.. this is why I got confused.. This was who I was going to buy off in the first place.

It should make two spoons maybe three if I make a small one... lol
I feel for my son. It was a surprise for him and we were so excited when we opened it... and then there was no metal.

Wow, that looks like great fun, can you reuse the metal to make more spoons or do you have to keep replacing (ie buying) the metal in the kit?

You keep using it again and again... it does look like fun. I am also going to buy some aerogel next time too.
