I recently won an auction at a good price, and the description said the item would be sent by registered post.
I had bought from that seller before and he had always sent me a tracking number.
This time he didn't send me a tracking number and he won't answer my messages.
The item hasn't arrived yet. If he didn't send it by registered post, what sort of feedback should I leave if I like the item? Neutral, saying for example that I like the item but it was not sent by registered post as described or negative altogether?
I suspect that the seller is trying to make up for the good price....

Not registering a parcel is not worth a neg....maybe a neutral.
There are a lot worse crimes than using a cheaper postage method than was in the listing.

Yes, I was thinking of a neutral myself if I like the item (I hope it arrives!). A plus for the item (and the price of the item itself) and a minus for the postage (and lack of communication) becomes a neutral.

The item hasn't arrived yet.
Do not jump the gun, just because they did not give the tracking number, does not mean it was not sent with tracking. maybe the seller is not well, or is just busy.

Well, in the past he always gave me the tracking number at the same time when he marked the item as posted (and the item has been marked as posted)...

Hi mariq, I disagree, if you receive the item in good condition, why neut or neg? The seller most likely has ent, all is good in his mind, so he may not be at his computer to answer any communication. Don't fling neuts and neg's around for this kind of thing. If item comes, then your request for tracking (not being replied to) is irrelevant. If you don't get soon, open INR. I don't want to sound harsh, but it seems everyone is in such a hurry to slap a seller for some reason.

What difference does it make if they use registered post or not? If you get the item then why would it matter what service was used. If you don't get it then you get a refund regardless of how the seller sent it.
They possibly used a template from a more expensive item and forgot to change the type of postage or just clicked on the wrong option from the drop down list by mistake.
If you are considering leaving less than positive feedback for receiving an item in as described condition what on eaerth do you think a seller who rips you off deserves?

I wouldn't be rushing to leave the seller a neg for that OP. It is posssible that the seller simply hasn't typed in the tracking number. or at worst has forgotten to send it registered
If the latter is the case, wait till your parcel arrives, & then contact the seller to let them know, maybe they will give you a postage refund for the registration cost

& that is another possibility.

No wonder some sellers get so frustrated:|
