Not showing my phone number on the: Sold Listing / Buyers details, page that sellers get sent.

Regarding not showing  my phone number to sellers when I make a purchase.

I will ask again, and try to be more specific.

After I have made a sale, on the sold listing / sales record page, that is sent to me,

some buyers attach their phone number, and some don't.

I believe it is optional, but I may be wrong there.

I think I can remember when I started on ebay, that I left that box empty,
but I can't remember what page it was on.

I ask this, because when I had an item delivered by post,, there was a company invoice (not an ebay invoice)
enclosed. that had my address details, and also my phone number.
So I am assuming that it is showing to all sellers that I buy from.

My question is, how can I remove my number from my details that the sellers see.?

Can anybody help please? as I cannot remember where i would go to remove it.

If a seller uses Click and Send, the phone number registered to the buyer is imported into the C&S page.

As you have to have a contact number, I can't see how you could delete it. Besides, buyers and sellers can get each other's phone numbers fairly easily anyway.

You can remove the phone number from your mailing address details via your account tab.

Select account tab.

Select addresses from the links that show on the left of the page

There should be at least an ebay registration address and a primary post address showing

Next to primary post address to your right select change

You can then edit from there and remove your phone number.

                                     I went there and looked, and my phone number was not recorded there,

just as I thought.

So, as to  why it was, or how it was, recorded on the company's invoice, will have to remain a mystery.

There are of course bigger things to be concerned about.

Did you pay by PayPal? It may have picked up your phone details from there.

I made a couple of purchases today on other websites and paid by PayPal and my phone number was automatically displayed with the shipping details.
