Paypal pay in 4

Have used the Paypal pay in 4 twice, tried to use it today but was it was rejected, this is ridiculous I rang Paypal and they couldn't help and gave me no explanation.

I used to work in a bank so Im a bit money savvy.

I've got a debit card from one bank plus an account in another bank.

The purchase isn't Ebay its online.

So then why are you posting on the Ebay boards?

None of us here can give you the answer.

We've given you a ton of suggestions though - such as checking your credit score to see if there is anything flagged. You say that your score is "reasonable". Well, maybe these companies are looking for a higher standard than "reasonable". Who knows?

If you were really money savvy, you would know that paying for stuff via these installment companies are big red flags for banks who will see you as a higher credit risk when it comes time to apply for a mortgage or loan.

As said, if it's not an eBay purchase, why are you posting your 'issue' on the eBay boards?

Even if you did buy on eBay, your Paypal travails have nothing to do with eBay. As you didn't buy on eBay, your question is even less relevant.

The seller is on Ebay, but I bought from their online store, Is that "relevant" enough or not?

You didn't buy through eBay. The seller's eBay status is irrelevant.

eBay does not accept ANY instalment payments for international purchases. I was able to use PayPal pay in 4 (i think...) a few times, but then the option just vanished and i was informed on a PayPal forum that eBay doesn't accept PayPal pay in 4 anymore. 

eBay has ZERO options for this unless your own country offers an instalment plan that  you can only use for sellers in your country.

Why not use your credit card through Paypal ?   Or is that maxxed-out ?

The Paypal pay in 4 is functioning now, so all good.

This is just happening to me now. Did you sort it out?

Everything is AOK, you just have to be patient, mind you I did have to wait for quite a while, it’s not just instant, they have to do a credit check like other similar companies ie Zip, Afterpay, Humm etc.
