Hi,
I've been trading on eBay for over 14 years, and have been very lucky in not needing to make any Paypal claims over those years... However, I recently purchased an item that was significantly not as described, and after trying to work it out with the seller I unfortunately had to put through a Paypal refund claim. Paypal okayed the refund and I posted the item (with tracking+ signature on delivery) to the address they supplied. According to the tracking website, Aus Post tried to deliver the parcel but had to leave a 'parcel to be collected' card at the address.
My question is, as the refund is only processed upon confimed delivery of the parcel, what happens if my uncooperative seller just leaves it at the post office indefinitely?
Thankyou for your time ๐

You should be able to, within the Paypal dispute, upload the tracking number. I believe you are supposed to when you post it (like you, I have never had this happen), but if you haven't do so now. Paypal can then see that you have returned the item in accordance with their instructions and proceed accordingly. If the seller chooses not to collect, then they have no recourse to a defence of 'it's not what I sent', so the risk is on them.
