Praise for Ebay Seller

I purchased two items from top-deal-square and on arrival I found one to be broken, I advised the seller, top-deal-square, and sent a photo. The response was to advise me that a replacement item would be sent as soon as stock became available. This was done and not only was a replacement item sent but and additional item. I have nothing but the highest praise for this Ebay seller for honesty, concern, excellent communication & and the highest integrity.  I highly recommend this Ebay seller.

Bought an item from chevypitstop back in November. Open up the box fineally this past weekend to find it broken. I contacted chevypitstop hoping to buy a replacemen partt and they sent me the part no charge. What an awesome act of kindness.

Some sellers are quite amazing like that. I bought a few items last year for my husband and within minutes of them being delivered to my front door, someone swooped in and took the package (I was in bed still, awake, and my bedroom is right next to the front door, so heard everything). I didn't tell the seller because he'd done everything right and it wasn't his fault. He even sent express post when I'd only paid for regular, just so I'd get it quicker.

A few months back I bought a few more similar items from this seller and he remembered me. He sent me a message saying "not sure if you meant to buy this one because you bought the identical item last year". I then confessed about what had happened with my stolen parcel. Not because I was expecting anything, but as an explanation of why I was buying the same item.

When my order arrived, not only did I get the items that I'd just bought, he had sent replacements for all the ones that were stolen!!!! I was absolutely gobsmacked. I would never have expected that in a million years. I felt so bad about it, I paid for them. A few hours later, my payment had been returned with a note, these are a gift. WOW!

If members arne't allowed to name and shame, how about it being both ways and stop the evident back slapping of sellers also, afterall, how do us memebers know that it is not just someone praising up a seller and using the forums as a free advertising opportunity. Enough said by me, and I guess I will be bagged for saying it, but the forums are being used the wrong way. Let the feedback system do the job, and we can usually take that as being fairly true to form.

I do not disagree with you it should be both ways but in this instant I am sure it is not free advertising as I have purchased from that seller a few times in the past and they are a good seller. I am mainly a seller and they are my competition if anything

I think the problem is not so much praising a seller but that we can not name and shame I really wish we could. A good seller getting a pat on the back is nice and even though they are the minority a bad buyer can do a lot of harm especially to us small sellers

And a bad seller can do a lot of harm to a lot of buyers until they are stopped....and an enormous amount of harm to ebay's reputation which has an effect on both buyers and sellers.

Anyone coming to the boards for the first time could be forgiven for thinking that ebay is made up entirely of shonky sellers and unhappy buyers who are constantly being ripped off.

To my way of thinking a bit of balance does not go astray....it can only help to let buyers see that there are good sellers out there.
