In October 2014 I won on the bidding for a Spa being sold by the Hayman Group
After contacting Hayman Group through E Bay to include a cover and Delivery
I paid for the item by Bank Transfer an amount of $4500.00 (au) on the 27.09.2014
After a period I contacted the Hayman Group for a Delivery Date, but no answer.
I then contacted E Bay for a phone number for the Hayman Group and to indicate the non reply of my e mails
During this period the Hayman Group listed me as a non payer.
I was able to finally contact the Hayman Group who were receptive to my call as I had listed them as poor to deal with
As of to days date 26.12.2014 I am still waiting for an indication as to when I may receive my goods
The phone calls to their so called call centre which number some 30 has resulted in no joy
The excuses given started as" could not find my payment"
the item is being built (1)
the wharehouse is closed (3 times)
the whare house is not answering (4 times)
the supervisor will ring you back (10 times)
Hang up ( 8 times)
I am taking legal action
but you guys out there
please be aware of these guys are not honest operators.
E Bay have not been forth coming in offering advice so I would say they have a track record

Why oh why have you waited so long, and paying with bank deposit??? - which is gifting the seller with your money, a whole lot of money!!!
Ebay can't help you with a bank deposit but you can ask your bank to do a charge back, do it as soon as possible as they also have time limits. If they are a registered Australian business I think there are other ways to get it looked into also, others will be in with more advice I think as I don't have experience with this kind of thing.

Hi rivergirl, unfortunately you cannot name & shame on here. The ID will be romoved shortly. IMO keep all correspondence to & from them. Call ebay & tell them about it.I would also inform the Authorities ( as I hope you have done) It sounds like a complete Sham. I'm sorry about your situation and really hope it gets sorted. If it were me, I would try and cancel the payment if that is at all possible. Take it all the way and keep harassing ebay about it. ๐

you can only do a chargeback if you pay the seller with a credit card, the OP has done a Bank Transfer, i.e. put cash into a complete strangers bank account.
the Bank cannot, and will not, get that money back out of the sellers bank account. it is gone.
there is absolutely no safety net if you put money directly into someones bank account
eBay and Paypal provide a good safety net for such transactions, as do most Credit Card providers, cash into a bank has none.

You are right, I'm afraid I was suffering from Christmas brain fatigue ๐

Your only small hope is if they are an Australian registered business with an abn, if they are then you can go through Fair Trade.

Thanks maranock
The story gets better I had begun the reversal process on or about the 10.11.2014 and was contacted by a socalled accountant of the Hayman Group asking that they would deliver the item shortly but he would only help if i stopped the reversal
I took the person at their word and proceeded to stop the reversal
However after getting no respons after this contact I have instigated a reversal
thanks again
