Hi all - sorry if this is a silly question, but, is there any way to search for items that are not in stores? For example, just looking for an avaerage seller who may be selling one off things. The reason i ask is because when I search for somehting, particulalry clothes, hundreds or thousands of items come up, many are in stores with stock photos selling bulk items. I am more interested in people like myself who might be offloading a dress that doesn't fit them anymore etc.

I don't think there's any way to exclude stores from your search. You'll find heaps of stores sell used one-off items.
Try refining your search to Aus only and Used only.

Once you've refined to Australia only, you may be able to refine for used items only. You used to be able to, not sure if you still can. But worth a try.

After your search select advanced search then scroll to sellers and tick "only show items from"
It will automatically open the option for entering specific sellers. Don't enter any and by not ticking "sellers with stores" that should work.

Great,
So us casual sellers who have a store don't interest you?
A fairly sledgehammer approach I would contend.

there are lots of casual sellers, not retailers, not using stock photos, who have a store for the convenience of the ebay Fees.
having a Store on eBay does not make you a big time seller, just one who wants to save a bit on fees.
you may miss a whole lot of real bargains if you exclude casual sellers with stores.
~~ ~~ ~~ Those who do right, have nothing to fear.
