For the past couple of months I have been monitoring the feedback of a seller I purchased from. This came about after a nasty experience with this seller and my negative feedback I left was removed. This seller consistently manages to have negative feedback removed somehow and in most cases without the buyer being aware of it.
This to me is not fair on buyers that use feedback ratings to decide on using a seller or not. Not only that it shows just how flawed the feedback system is.
I have contacted ebay many times regarding this but they refuse to answer my query as I was not the buyer. Over the past 2 months the seller in question has managed to remove 17 negative feedback comments. This should not be allowed!

--also, if a ''buyer'' leaves a negative before a Non Paying Dispute is opened, and then they do NOT pay the seller, and the dispute is closed, the neg. will automatically be removed.
again, as others have said what transpires between sale date and feedback removal is only really known to the 2 parties and ebay.

This neutral feedback may highlight a "diplomacy" technique the seller uses

Perhaps feedback was removed by the buyers themselves and not by ebay. Seller's neutral feedback includes a comment, "was harrassed by phone for not leaving good feedback..."

a buyer cannot 'remove' feedback from a seller, they can, on the request of the seller, amend their feedback from a negative to a neutral or positive, but never remove it. ONLY ebay can remove fb

JMO but if they are an ebay partner, they are a protected species.
Their other id feedback combined with the one that was shown last night, would put them over the 100,000 sales-don't know what the qualification for ebay partner is though.

I can see the point of some of the comments but if you rely on feedback comments to make your decision to purchase or not isn't removing negative feedback conveying a false message to the customer?
Since starting this topic the seller in question has had 3 negative feedback comments removed. I have tried to have unjustified negative feedback removed and got nowhere so how is it that this seller continually succeeds in negative feedback removal?

maybe through the defamation process ?

Maybe the seller is also an employee of ebay?
