So eBay started a return in late November for an item that arrived non working from overseas.
No response from the seller as yet and so they have not "accepted" the return either. Ebays automated message on the return screen says to remember to post the item back, however I presume I need to wait until it's accepted by the seller first? The return postage cost is close to 3/4 of the original item plus postage price hence holding off sending until I know the seller is happy to cover that (and receive confirmation from eBay that it will be covered as its $32).
How does it work if the seller doesn't respond and I ask eBay to intervene? Not logical for a seller to just ignore such a request but they ignored several of my messages asking for assistance going back several weeks too.
From my understanding of returns through ebay mbg, when a seller does nothing and ebay steps in, it counts against seller and gets closed without seller resolution (or something like that) seller gets a bad mark on there account and buyer wins
