Why is paypal not interested in helping you if that is how you paid?
A bit of information may help us to help you get your refund.

Oh, I see the transaction was back in December. Sorry, but if you let the time go past 45 days before making a claim why should paypal do anything?

You need to know how to play the eBay game, and in fairness to eBay and paypal - they can not be held accountable if buyers such as yourself allow themselves to be 'ripped off'.
Shame on this particular seller, but all this could have been avoided if you had followed the protocol advised to you when you purchased with paypal.
45 days to open a dispute - whether it be for INR or INAD etc, it is no fault of the system that you ignored these timelines.

Are you in NZ? If so you are asking the Australian Forum for help. It appears you purchased this camera from a US seller. What steps have you taken to fix the problem? Did you make a claim through Paypal? More information would be helpful if you want proper advice.

beautbots....there is no ebay in NZ. Most New Zealanders use ebay.au
The transaction was back in December 2013 so there is no way paypal will do anything after all this time.

If you look at his feedback profile is says member since Dec 2013 in New Zealand. Which suggests to me is has bought from there. Op needs to provide more detail.

The OP provided the name of the seller which I saw before it was edited by the Mods. The transaction was back in December last year so there is no way the OP can make a claim on paypal now. He ran out of time many weeks ago.
There is no further information that could be provided that would help now.
