Sorry if this has been done to death but just want some clarification please.
I purchased a 2nd had electric kettle for $25, the seal inside has perished & it leaks. Seller says to return for refund but I must pay return post. Kettle weighs over 1kg & will cost approx $18 to return reg'd.
Is that the case that I must pay this? A decent & honest seller would refund & I would chuck kettle in the rubbish.
If I raise a SNAD, will paypal request that I return the item at my expense to get my refund?
I'm not that great at maths, but I know I end up the loser here ๐

I've tried all that. And now I can't even reply to a thread that is sort of about what i want to complain about. (Which is pornographic advertising from ad choice)

Lindsey - have you offered to take a photo of the damage and send to seller.? I can not see why a seller would want a faulty item returned unless it is simply to make you pay the postage, which is ridiculous. I would offer the photo, if they accept, you get a refund and move on. If they insist on you returning, NEG to the max, they are being vindictive IMO

Hi GBC, I tried everything. Right from the start the seller said 'return it, buyer pays return, them's the rules' .Seller reckoned there was $20 of copper in the kettle, ha ha. more like $1 if you look up copper prices. Me being an honest person, just let it go, there were other ways I could have got my money back but I like to lie straight in bed at night.. I negged him alright. I have moved on. will not buy from him again.

Try signing out and then back in lindsey. I find that usually fixes it when my posts don't go through.
