I recently purchase a coat that was supposed to be Size 18-20(AUST) wool blend. I got the coat no problem but the size was 14 and it has no wool I am sure. I used to work in textiles and I'm 100% sure it's not wool.
I gave a neutral feedback but wrote about the wrong size. Much of the neg & neutral feedback complaints are about size and quality. The seller wants to refund me $5.00 to change the feedback. They have now contacted me 4 times about it.

At first look I actually missed the measurements, as they were in a scroller within the listing,
As for the $5 offer of compensation, may be to a Chinese seller $5 is fair, seeing they sell their stuff so cheap in the first place,
But at the end of the day, the OP has politely acknowledged the answers received, and appears will consider reselling the coat, which is very pretty in my opinion, so she should not have a problem, and may be make a little profit for her trouble. ๐

well if the buyer didnt read the description properly and the seller wasnt at fault, the neutral FB shouldnt not have been left in the first place, shame shame, & you musta have left bad FB without contacting the seller too, shame shame

@supernova, yes to a point you have a point but that is all just wording and how one perceives to determine such wording.
But we all really know that if I offer you a bag of lollies not to tell mum i pee,d on the cat im bribing you.
So lets not play with words as the seller is doing.
He wants the OP to change there feedback in return a reward of a discount is on offer that is BRIBERY word it how you like its still old fashion bribery.
And it bloody well aint blackmail , blackmail is if the OP had asked the seller to reduce the fee or he would leave neg feedback, that is blackmail.
I would report the seller now as the feedback has been a reflection of the buyers experience anything else is just misuse of the feedback system. The deal has been done and the feedback left leave it at that , if he emails again tell him to forget it or you will have no choice but to report it to eBay. Do not lower yourself for $5 measly dollars.

isweet, dont you think now the FB should be revise without payment? lucky the seller was nice enough to offer $5 imo, seeing as the seller wasnt at fault

my 2012 Lexis Nexis legal Dictionary tells me that the definition of Bribery is "The common law offence of giving or offering a bribe to a public officer to induce the officer to act otherwise than in accordance with his or her duty."
and my Oxford Dictionary tells me that blackmail is 1a) extortion of payment in return for silence b) the use of threats or moral pressure

WHY on the earth do you think the seller was not in fault? have you looked at the 650 NEGs they got this year?
Like :
Size 2 small, nowhere near measurement, seller pain in the neck, not helpful
Item Far too small,Not as described and come up really Short not like the photo!
So thin terrible quality
Most of these sort of sellers use stock photos and the clothes they send are badly made copies, hardly resembling the photos. The OP bought size 18-20, which is not in the measurement table. So, there were NO measurements for the coat she bought.
Why are you guys determined that the OP is at fault?

Basking in reflected glory, are we? It would have been a long time since you instructed a QC.
The title has not been in use for 20 years.
Pretty sure there are a couple of Oz jurisdications that have retained QC ?

@joz*garage That is a personal point of view and one that is up to the OP only and should not be influenced buy me or anyone else as it is her /his reflection of the transaction which none of us were involved in so we really have no right to tell the OP either way.
Hence i said leave it as it is.
Now if your asking me personally the answer would be yes I would revise it but I probably would not have to. As I would not have left Neut in the first place to have to worry about it.
But all said and done its the OP,s reflection of the transaction regardless what we think or if it was good or bad decision.
The fact is the OP felt something bad about it for what ever reason even if its just a feeling its there decision and there reflection of the said transaction. And there decison to make only.

@joz*garage Forgot to mention one thing Joe, even though I would have revised I would NOT take the $5 , There would be no need as there was no wrong doing to pay for in the first place and the fact i was offered such an amount (which i may add may never occure as OP could revise then seller renig or they refund and OP renigs) would be insignificant shamefull and show poor taste. You can not even buy a beer for that or a meat pie. My self pride would forbid it.
