Hi,
Trying to figure out if its possible to remove a negative comment from positive feedback:
I bought and paid for this item: #151681686071, the seller left me a positive rating but in the comment said I didn't pay and was a waste of time.
I've since emailed the seller who said that this was a mistake on their end and I should send a feedback change request. I can't figure out how to do this. I've left a follow up comment on my feedback so people know I did pay (I've got the PayPal transaction as proof).
Where is the feedback change request? Or how do I go about getting this changed? I still have 100% positive feedback, its just the comment on the feedback looks bad.
Thanks

Just report the false positive feedback to ebay and they will remove it. It is against policy for the seller to leave false positives.
Unfortunately your followup will probably remain and look much worse....it will stand out like a sore thumb.

You need to ring ebay....they are very lax about answering emails.
If you are very lucky you might get someone who will remove your followup comment as well...it was definitely a bad idea to leave that before trying to get the original comment removed.
Never jump the gun with followup remarks until you have exhausted all other avenues for making things right.

The seller can't revise the feedback, you can only hope to have it removed. As mentioned, RING eBay, emailing is a waste of time as you get a computer generated reply, that usually has nothing to do with your issue. If you get no luck ringing, ask to speak to a supervisor.
It has been said here a few times that if you use the call back option, you often get someone with more than 2 brain cells.

Of which one is dead and the other borrowed

Replying to feedback is fine. It is exactly what I would do in the circumstances too.
I don't think your comment looks bad, all it says is you paid via paypal. The seller's comment has been removed but anyone looking at your feedback would just assume the seller accused you of not paying and you had.
You said you were trying to get it fixed and the fact ebay removed it would seem to back up your claim.
Nothing wrong with that at all.
In fact i would go as far as to say just about always leave a factual, objective comment if feedback is unfair.
Where it is a seller who gives a false positive though you don't have to bother as ebay will remove it.

Springy, for the most part I agree with all you have said about followup feedback but with one qualification.....only leave a followup after all other avenues have been exhausted to get it removed or changed.
In the OP's case his followup is quite mild and acceptable but how many times have we seen followups that would make your hair curl.
Followup feedback can be left any time, even up to years later so there is no hurry to jump in and leave it immediately, especially if you are angry or upset.

Oh I agree with that and the fact that follow up feedback doesn't have to be left immediately, and yes, I have seen some shocking replies that reflect badly on the one doing the follow up, but this wasn't one of those cases.
If a seller left me a negative comment I am aware ebay could be asked to remove it but if I sold something and got an unfair neg or neutral I would be giving a follow up for sure. I often find seller follow ups useful when i look at feedback as sometimes it lets you gauge if the buyer is just unreasonable or if there really may have been an issue.
