I bought an item which which was lied about the weight capasicty of the ride on toy. Ad says 60kg. Manufacture lable on toy says only 25kg. Seller also lied about the colour. Sent Red when I ordered Pink.
Seller agreed to a return and refund. Have sent the item back using the ebay returns method. When I sent the seller the tracking number for the returned item, they told me they will not collect the item and will not privide a refund.....
What do i do!!?? ='(

As soon as the dispute allows it, escalate it (ask ebay to step in and help). By rights, it should close in your favour, giving you a refund. In the interim, give ebay a call, explain what's happening and get them to read the messages between you and the buyer.

Thank you for your reply. How will the dispute allow me to take the next step? It has stalled on "Posted". The Aust Post tracking says the package is waiting to be collected. The seller has already told me they will not collect the package so the dispute will not progress to the "refund" stage. =(

Thank you. All our emails have been through ebay, so I really do hope they can help me. I havent been able to find an ebay phone number to call to get a person? I only seem to get the recorded options that lead to nowhere.

Go to Help & Contact at the top or bottom of any page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select contact us. Normally I would suggest just clicking on anything until the options are no longer greyed out, but try hitting buying, then returns, the returning an item. By now, the contact options down the bottom should be able to be clicked on. Click on call us and on the next screen will give you a passcode. You need to give them that number when you call.
Normally there is a call back option, but it doesn't seem to appear. You could also try going to through other options to see if the call me option appears. It doesn't have to have anything to do with your issue. You can even click on the seller option to see if anything in there triggers the call me option.

I had a seller do that to me and they're only screwing themselves. Ebay could see that the return was waiting for collection, gave the seller five days to pick it up and refund and when they didn't I was refunded anyway and the item came back to me as it was never collected. Chances are your seller will be out the money and the item if they play that game.
