Seller not responding

Hi all, made a purchase, then tried to contact the seller regarding another accessory that they may sell to go with the item. Have sent two emails since making payment, but no reply. I would not have comitted to make payment if I was made aware that they may be closed for a break over Christmas, fair enough providing that is stated in the listing, which it was not. As it stands, thay have my money and I have no indication when the item will arrive, as to the best of my knowledge, it still hasn't been posted. If I had been made aware of a seller holiday, I would have purchased from a different seller as there are many others with the same items.

I can't see how the item will arrive within their claimed timeframe, seeing that it is still in limbo. Poor communication, poor service and deliver times, and their ratings will reflect that when I do leave feedback.

Open a dispute for item not received and get your money back and purchase another else where.

A lot of sellers don't mark items as sent, a lot of ebay questions get lost in cyberspace, a bit of a coincidence if both have occured here but still you should wait a reasonable time before doing anything, I allow 10 to 12 working days for domestic and 15 to 20 for overseas items to arrive and then I open a dispute if no tracking number provided. If that much time has passed then certainly open a dispute then you can give the seller another week before you close it.

A quick message to clarify delivery times is always a good idea if there is a delivery deadline. No answer then buy elsewhere.

Also remember not everyone uses the holiday settings , the seller is in hospital- dont laugh its happened to me-  as the seller, or even just a technical issue such as internet or PC issues.

 

Golden rule- ask before you buy.

Thanks to all, I have now recieved a sent item notification with Mon coming being the delivery time, we will wait and see on that one. If not by Wed, I will be asking the question why it wasn't sent within the claimed 24 hours after payment.
