I was after a particular item and it was a good price and it wasnt on the Australiasn ebay site but the Uk site. I asked seller if they would post to Australia which I guess they could have if they really wanted to but they said no I cannot post to Australia. So now I have missed out on the item. Which was kind of disapointing.

So what is your question? It is entirely up to the seller where they are prepared to post to....nothing to get upset about.

michelle, it is disappointing when things like that happen, isn't it?
Some sellers just don't want to deal with posting internationally. I don't. Yes, it probably costs me sales, but that is just something I have to accept until I get brave enough to explore international postage procedures.
There is more to consider than just the postage, it's how to deal with things if a problem arises too, and probably a whole heap of paperwork etc.
Be patient and keep a look out, I am sure the item will come up again somewhere from a seller who does post to your location,

I've been waiting for that for the last week....nothing has been arriving in the mail that has not already had feedback left.
But I will be paying for a couple of items in a few hours when 2 other auctions finish....so watch this space.

Postage from the UK that qualifies for seller protection is very expensive to Australia and it can also be rather slow too which often has buyers opening disputes when things are on their way.
If a seller does not say they will post to anywhere then you have to respect that. I have let people send things to my UK address and then have posted them on but too late now as I am back in Aus for the best part of 6 months.

hey Lyn, did you get a special letter from eBay congratulating you and awarding you a very special certificate that you can print off, frame and hang on your wall?
LOL
Congratulations on the milestone Lyn,

I am happy with the green star, but now I don't want any more feedback...I like the look of all those 000s. 5000 is a nice round number.
