Hi everyone,
I bought an item on the 1st December and seller stated that it would be posted within 3 days of money clearing. It is now the 10th and the seller has not sent item and has not responded to my messages for the last 3 days. Yesterday i asked him to contact me or I would contact Paypal and open a claim. Before I contact paypal now, i am just checking that this is the correct procedure.
Thanks
Platty

10 days is too early. Is it the Unisex Key Chain Watch? The seller is in HK, it can take anything from 2 weeks to 5 weeks for item from o/s to arrive. just because the seller did not mark it as posted does not mean they did not.
However, this seller has pretty bad FB, I would wait about 3 weeks from sale and then open INR case with PP. By the FB I think that if the item arrives, you will be disappointed.

Yes it is, I have never had an issue with a seller not responding, or not marking posted. They certaining wont be getting positive FB from me either.

It is a bit unfair to make up your mind at this stage that you are going to leave bad feedback just because a seller has not marked an item as posted. As for not responding to messages over the last 3 days....it is the weekend and they may not be at their computer.
You do need to be a little bit flexible at this time of the year...everyone is busy and 10 days for an item to arrive from overseas in most unreasonable.

between 15 and 21 days is typical from HK

No it is not unreasonable considering the OP asked on Saturday and started this thread at time when in HK would have been only early afternoon Monday. They are big sellers and most likely very busy in this moment; I think that giving them couple of business days to answer is appropriate.
In any case talking about NEGs is definitely premature.

Your seller is dropshipping so he probably does not even know if the item has been posted.
The listing states 2-5 days handling time and 8-22 days delivery so you are really jumping the gun to be complaining after 10 days.

If you think it is appropriate to give a seller a neg because they don't mark an item as posted and don't reply to you over the weekend I think you will find yourself on a lot of blocked bidder lists!

Thankyou for all the comments above.
I guess that when you have easy transactions and sellers who wish to do the right thing, you come to trust in the sytem. BTW i have never had to give any negative feedback to any seller.
Up to date on my purchase, i have been waiting for a response to the three messages i sent before writing original post. And i still havent received any messages back. I guess that, as the watches that i purchased where for some friends for xmas i was getting a little impatient. And now the posting has dissappeared off my history. There is no credit reversal to my paypal account.
What should i do now?
