I have always payed for my items straight away after the auction has ended or when i use Buy It Now , and always pay with paypal , Now i'am also a seller and when buyers have paid me by paypal i recieve the payment straight away. But what gets me is the sellers don't post the item on the day of payment or the next day. I Have Always Made Sure of the items i sell go in the post the next day at the latest,,..
As 3 items i paid for last monday and tuesday have still not been sent , One Seller said he forgot Another will send tomorrow , the 3rd hasnt replied.
I Find It Simply Wrong

Well, I got my item this morning (the one I mention above), although it is still not marked as posted... (I knew it is not compulsory to mark an item as posted though, so I was hoping...)

I put within 3 business days to allow for public holidays and such, usually I will post as soon payment is made or within 24 hours at least.
If it is such a big deal that you simply can't abide the sellers 3, 5, 7 days time frame then you can always shop elsewhere, that is the beauty of ebay :0)
I have purchased stuff from sellers that advertise 1 day turnaround and still find they haven't posted after a week, I don't worry unless it hasn't turned up within 21 days, you have to allow for variables with australia post as well.

Paypal actually does not pay sellers immediately, only in theory. Once money is actually IN the PP account, then we have to transfer the money from paypal to our own bank account & this takes anything from 2 to 5 days. Do you really get your paypal money immediately in your actual bank account same day??
I think we should take into account, that some sellers are perhaps waiting for the money to transfer into their account, so they actually have money to post items. It has happened to me on occasion, being zip broke and waiting for the moolah so I can dash off to the PO...meaning I cannot post for at least 3 days after sale. If a weekend gets in the way, more time to wait...Jilly

No, you do not. Once the money is in your PP it is yours, and you can post. of-course, not everybody can post every day of the week, some people work, some have other commitments, some live miles from the nearest PO, that is why seller has the option to stipulate when they will post. But if they say 1 day and then it takes them a week, then some lowering of stars is justified.
Also, PP payments do not always appear the moment they are made, even if they so called instant, and echeques can take 5 days or more (depending on the buyer's bank or credit union).

What are you on?
Buyers can only get positive feedback and buyers' feedback is only a score of how much they've bought that they've received feedback for.
And feedback is VOLUNTARY.

I paid for something on the 6th and it is now the 15th and it hasn't arrived! (Brisbane to Melbourne) So annoyed. If I knew it was going to take this long, I would have insisted they used express post. I waited more than 20days for another parcel (Sydney to Melbourne) because there was a family crisis. I hope Ebay reads these posts . . . something has to be done

no, herb, ebay does NOT read these posts.
have you asked your seller for the tracking number, and have you checked on the aust post website to see what aust post say?maybe its sitting at your po awaiting collection?

I think maybe a few of the posters here need to be a tad patient and a little bit more understanding. I send my parcels the same day I receive paypal payment if it is before 3pm, next day if after, and obviously on the Monday following a weekend. I always mark mine posted, however, in the grand scheme of things I am a very small seller, and this all takes time, so I fully understand why some sellers do not mark posted each and every time they send an item. The way I operate is to get itmes out fast (I need the room) nd I think it would be physically impossible for me to send my items any quicker than I do.
What some seem to have forgotten here is -
1. Once it is with the courier or APost, seller has no control over delivery time frames.
2.If the item is lost or damaged in transit, again totally out of the sellers control
3. If it is not marked posted on the item, that does not naturally equate to the seller being slow - as I pointed out above all sellers operate how the system best works for them
But most importantly - all I ever read on here is The seller must communicate' well this is true, and I live by that rule, but it goes both ways. Rather than getting angry and annoyed, marking down stars for no real reason other than you are annpyed, why don't you (the buyer) contact the seller and ask???? Has my item left? It really isn't hard, and then if you are not satisfied with the response, by all means, take what ever action you deem necessary, but give us a chance to prove most of us do know what customer service means.

I have noticed that it's not worth delaying marking the postage box quickly.
If I get busy then I have people emailing to ask when it's going to be posted. This wastes more of my time.
I wish buyers wouldn't panic so much, I would rather spend my time packing new orders than answering panicky customers who will have their parcel very soon.
