Should I report this Seller - Does not offer Paypal, offers Paymate but ...

... (as I found out) cannot provide it. I was sort of OK when finding out they do not offer Paypal (fine, OK, whatever). They were NOT impressed, however, when I said I wanted to use the Paymate option for my protection though. Seller kept pressing this issue to have me pay via bank transfer, I said NO. To cut a long story short, NOW they cannot even provide me with Paymate option as it seems she has the Paymate account and her Daughter has the Ebay account and they cannot be linked! UGH, waste of so much time!

Should I report this? I have wasted several hrs today with to & from emails with her trying to sort out HER Paymate mess as I could not complete the payment due to the above. I'd hate to think anyone else should have to go through this and be forced into a situation where they are offered NO protection as she was trying on me.

As it stands now there is an unpaid item, it has not been cancelled. Do I wait to report AFTER she & I have cancelled the transaction (I no longer want the item - found it elsewhere WITH Paypal option 🙂 ) OR do I report after the cancellation?

Cheers.

^ I meant:  and should I report it NOW, before it's a cancelled transaction. Sorry. 😮

Report the seller for not accepting a safe payment option which was stated on the listing,  its not enough to just say they will accept paypal or paymate, they must have it linked to ebay so buyers can pay safely and receive buyer protection.

You can leave FB to warn others,  "sellers refused to accept safe payment option as stated."

I have sent a complaint to Ebay Customer Service for now informing them of the situation this Seller put me in. I could not find a link to report? I kept going in circles on the Help System on here regarding "reporting a seller"! I only purchased the item 1 day ago also. Unless anyone here has any other suggestions I will wait until CS responds before doing anything else.

In the message they sent asking that you pay by DD, down on the page is section "Marketplace Safety Tip" and then there is a link to Report an inappropriate email.  that way eBay can see what the seller asked you to do.  Report the message, even that you already reported it elsewhere.

Not that I think your lying, but I dont understand how that can be. You cant offer Paymate without first linking your account. Did you try just going through checkout?

Unless things have changed recently?

Don't hold your breath waiting for a response from ebay-simply leave a factual neg & move on.Waiting for ebay is a waste of time to respond IMO,deal with the issue yourself & don't bother contacting seller again. Its their problem to work out not yours.

Something like 'Seller refused payment via Paymate which they had as payment option'

IF the seller opens a non payer dispute, respond to it re seller refused the payment option they offered.

If you receive an unpaid item strike, use the appeal link, refer ebay to their messages & strike should be overturned.

Yes. I went through the paymate payment link to pay and it would not allow me to pay! I was unable to complete the transaction because they have not entered and email address and I was unable to do that on my end (you cannot even put your cursor inside that field). I took a screen shot of the error and forwarded it onto her. Their response to me what as I said (after many emails back and forth with her!). I am certainly NO liar, let me assure you of this. If what they say is true than you can actually set it up somehow without linking. I don't know, this is what the seller said after her discussions with Paymate. She could have been full of BS and was trying to force me to pay with a bank to bank payment .... I really do not know for certain.

NOW I believe the Seller is playing sillyboogers with me in that they said they will cancel the item, but have relisted but not cancelled the original item (mine). It's just in limbo payment status, with a timer symbol in the payment column because the paymate payment was not completed on my end. Says this when I hover over the symbol :This item is pending payment through Paymate".

Ebay CS did get back to me with some vague/standard answer: - "Rest assured we've taken appropriate action based on our policies. However, to protect the privacy of our members, we can't share the details of the actions we've taken." plus some other notes and links. I have updated them with the current status as above about the seller relisting but not cancelling.
