Small items from HK not being delivered

Over the last year or two I've been noticing that small items from Hong Kong don't arrive....not everytime, but about 5 out of 10.  Are they being lost in transit or not shipped at all?  Everytime I've had to contact a seller prior to the 45 day limit, they will always ask to 'wait a few more days' to which I reply that I will be lodging a Paypal claim on xxx date, because if I don't then we all know that I don't have any chance of getting a refund.

Generally these items are small $$ items which soon mount up if you don't do any follow up and am wondering what other people do in this situation?  Paypal are really good and will always refund the money within a day or so, but surely I'm not the only one where parcels are not arriving??   Other parcels are being delivered without a problem, so I tend to think these don't arrive in the country?

Just curious and interested to know if this is happening to others....

Small items from HK not being delivered

As you can see quite a few months have passed and there are still delivery problems.  Although the last two purchases arrived, the first was missing a cable, seller shipped a replacement, it was faulty, shipped another which short circuited...ouch!!!  All this took 3 months.  Bought a similar item from another seller (while waiting for the above to be sorted) and sure enough this second one won't even turn on!!!

eBay have been great (as usual) and given refunds but this all takes time and you shouldn't have to continually lodge dispute claims if the sellers were doing the right thing.

The most recent seller was offering a $5 refund for a $13 item that wasn't working....then wanted it returned but wouldn't issue an RMA and calculated postage it was going to cost almost $20 to return a DOA item.  Crazy!!  I phoned eBay and immediately I was given a refund, then got a smarta*se reply from the seller followed by a scam email (naturally ignored).

Anyway, to cut a long story short I've now decided to boycoot HK sellers as about 1 in 10 items arrived at all or arrived in working condition and I'm just over it!  Pity because they have some items at good prices.  I really hate accusing people of not putting items in the mail, but I am beginning to think this is what happens because they are too ready to ship another item without any investigation.  Hope I'm wrong because I dislike thinking bad about people, but heck these sellers are just too much......

Small items from HK not being delivered

I have fonud HK sellers to be pretty good, usually have 2 weeks + shipping time but extremely cheap compared local sellers despite shipping from HK. I have bought more than 300 items from HK/China, maybe only 1 or 2 failed to deliver.
