Getting so frustrated with this sites inability to remove scam listings.
The scammer 141488104893 has sold 137 of these at $17.89 each and they will receive $2450.93 via
PP,(as that's their preferred payment option).
The buyer will receive nothing and wont be able to start a PP claim as it's listed in Pocket bikes,(they would have to
ring PP to get a refund,"maybe").
That's on top of the $5000 plus for their other scam items that "sold".
Then they'll get more for their 5 multi listings for items under $20 that have a true value of $350 plus.
Each listing has: Welcome to my eBay Store
eBay can't even see that's it's a hijacked listing as they don't have store.
Then you get the other 50 plus scam items in that category including the Micros SD memory cards,(that will all
be 16 or 32 maximum instead of the posted 64 or 128).
They ran the same scam last year and some of these sellers where involved then,
Trust & Safety just don't seem to excist anymore as these listings where reported via Live Help and passed on
to T & S.
Just that one seller sold over 500 items so that will be more members that will think that this site is scam central
and they may never buy again,(if they then post their experience on FB there could be 1000's that might
never trust this site).
Bottom service as always and it almost makes you believe that they must have a vested interest in those scam
listing,

True Lyndal, it reminds me off a mushroom - grows in the dark and is fed with bull..............
And we think our kids and grandkids are sometimes wrapped in too much cotton-wool so that they don't have to see or feel the perilous world around them, only to discover that there really is some nasty stuff happening around and to them that they are not prepared for..
Well I think eBay's members are being treated exactly the same way, except the motive there is not parental care, it appears to be a combination of monetary greed, favored sellers and an almost inactive T&S section.
Oh to go back 5 or more years ago when I joined eBay and it was a pleasant platform to trade on........I'd defy anyone to say it's better now in 2014 than it was back then.

OK scam busters, here's a list for you! I was surprised just how much rubbish gets listed in the pocket bike category. Not just Chinese scammers either, plenty of people have cars, boats and even a couple of pinball machines! I only reported the Chinese scammers. I figured apart from the pinnies, the others were still in the motors category, just not the right sub category.
I've done the pocket bike listings, that's enough for me for one night!!
I've reported all these listings, might help if others do too.
1. 331402477817 - 3 listings - only buyers are NARU
2. 231408944186 - 4 listings - all 'buyers' that left feedback are NARU
3. 261681572463 - 3 listings - most buyers NARU
4. 161493971454 - 1 listing - most buyers are NARU
5. 251739496941 - 4 listings - 2 in wrong category, 2 in correct one.
6. 221623528750 - 4 listings - check the feedback, especially the 4th feedback from the top. They supposedly bought an SD card yet said how lovely the ring was. Also notice that since the negative, all the 'buyers' have low feedback. Also notice how many NARU buyers they have.
7. 221623532931 - 3 listings
8. 321604858339 - 3 listings - feedback also thanks them for the lovely rings
9. 261682556342 - 1 listing
10. 271690928811 - 1 listing
11. 271692496435 - 7 listings - 1 in correct category
12. 121502846109 - 7 listings
13. 251732431080 - 4 listings - this one is another Makita scam - 1 item listed in correct category
14. 251733833268 - 4 listings
15. 281511946837 - 1 listing
16. 181599538914 - 1 listing
17. 331402291767 - 5 listings
18. 151498900054 - 1 listing
19. 171565478885 - 1 listing
20. 251740620064 - 1 listing
21. 171565487344 - 1 listing
22. 251740873483 - 1 listing
23. 331392495745 - 6 listings - this is the only one in the wrong category, but I suspect they are all scam items.
24. 331399663182 - 2 listings
As I was compiling this list, seller 1, 3, 18, lost all their listings.
Seller 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24 are all the same seller. Identical listings and they share feedback. Buyer 8****8(128) and p***r(7) and m***v(13) seem to feature on several feedbacks. They all have lots of low feedback NARU buyers.
Seller 9 may have something to do with that same seller too as p***r(7) and m***v(13) features in their feedback too.
I believe seller 5, 7 and 23 may be the same person
Seller 14 and 17 are the same person

SpoilerUnless, as ginger believes, eBay reads these boards in which case the listings will probably all be gone - and all those naughty sellers NARU'd....................
Spoiler"looks towards the heavens for flying pigs..............."
Yes Padi, we all know that pigs fly.

So listing items in motors means that a buyer has no PP protection?
eBay motors has higher fees but which categories in Motors are exempt? Yes I have a lot of questions after my browse in the wild west earlier
I noticed that pocket bikes is a scammer frenzy with more items listed in the wrong category than i have ever seen before.
Many many car, boat & motor bike listings,so is it that Motorbikes,Boats & Cars have the higher fee?
I read in eBay motors that eBay are bringing out vehicle checks as a buyer option.Buyer can check the VIN number listed, but every item in Pocket Bikes escaped all the listing details that are usually required. Most had virtually no details provided except the sellers phone number.
It seems crazy that a seller on the boards got spanked for listing some girls shoe tie thingies in Shoes,i think, yet there is a whole seething world of way off category in PocketBikes.A couple of other sub categories there are affected. too.

That is correct, which is why they do it. However, there have been a few success stories lately of scammed buyers managing to get a refund, after they received the computer generated message stating that motors had no protection. I think they all had to ring eBay/PayPal, but they got their refunds.
It just concerns me how many other buyers don't know to ring or don't think to and just go with the message they get when they open a dispute saying there is no protection, therefore there is nothing they can do. I will guess that half the scammed buyers wouldn't know how to fight for a refund, so the scammers are still doing well out of this, even if they do get their listings removed. It seems a lot of low feedback buyers buy from these tools, so they probably just accept they have lost their money and give up on buying on eBay.

Thanks, was just making sure i had it right & that's pretty much what i was seeing there.
How may would think to check the category when the scam listing comes up through key word search from somewhere else.
People think they are protected since they aren't buying a car.
I found it sneaky & alarming so i got a bit ( a lot) snitchy.I got a snitch list so i will check later how many get removed or not.
I saw that there is an $8 listing fee for allsub categories except Go Karts,Pocket Bikes & Trailers. I never knew since i haven't listed a car before.
I saw few of 10k cars with the simple title "Car" many had none to little fb.With no VIN,rego details, condition etc i am thinking some of these cars don't exist or people owe $ on them etc.Very scarey for the unwary.

It certainly does pay to remain vigilant. Checking categories is not something I normally do as a rule, but I am definitely checking them now when looking at sellers I haven't bought from before!
More listings have been removed from the item numbers I left. A couple of the sellers had some listed in the pocket bike category and some in the correct category. The pocket bike category items have been removed.
The best thing I saw was, the Makita listing was finally removed sometime in the last 2 hours. It's surprising how many gullible people there are out there! I reported that one 4 times. Incorrect category, fraudulent listing, vehicle misrepresentation and also fake item. When reporting a fake item, you have the option of leaving a message with the report, so I wrote something like 'fake item listed in incorrect category to scam buyers so they can't claim a refund'.
I haven't checked the pocket bike category today, but no doubt there will be a lot of new scam listings! Might go and have a look now.
