Hi E1,
Struggling a bit to understand why the seller of this item " 3 Way Auto Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Splitter DC 12V Charger Adapter with USB " has a BIN price of $51 ( it is the seller whose user ID starts with bob ).
Anyhow, the bid history page shows several sales at $1.00 per piece and one buyer bought 3 of them at this BIN price of $51.
This particular seller has other items looking this strange too.
Would I be right to guess that the seller may be low on stock and have more coming in soon and doesnt want to end the item due to high insertion fees so just keeps the item/s active so as to avoid re-listing the item and therefore avoiding insertion fees?

You have probably guessed right, that practice is common for sellers so their listing continues to run and does not lose its place in search,
But just like some new sellers think the BIN price is a reserve, at the same time you will find the odd buyer who thinks the same and assumes they will have to pay the BIN "reserve" to acquire the item. and are willing to pay the higher price.
