I attempted to purchase an item and pay for it but during the buying and paying process i was unable to complete payment due to seller not accepting PO box as a postal address.
The buying process stopped and i was not given any options.
Yesterday I have received an email from ebay saying i had to pay for the item.
I have made an attempt to contact bith ebay and seller to advise situation.
As you know it is very difficult to find an email address to make direct contact with ebay which is very annoying!
I am awaiting any response offered to this situation.
My only option to reciev goods is the PO box address which has succesfully worked for other purchases.
Over to you ebay or seller!

You can get the seller details via eBay and call them to sort this out.
A lot of sellers do not accept PO boxes, some because the items are too large or expensive to post and they use a courier, some just have the default set up as no PO's.
Only way to sort quickly is to speak to the seller.

don't worry about the message from ebay it's just an automated thing. Contact the seller and ask them to either put you on their exempt list and send to your PO or cancel the transaction for you.
I run into this problem too as I can only have items sent to a PO. It's mainly from overseas transactions they think a PO is not safe.
If the seller doesn't get back to you then don't stress as there is nothing you can do.

Sorry Cleanup, there are some good reasons why some poeple have a PO box, mostly because they live out of town in a rural area and don't have postage to their door, and AP is also considering not providing post services in the future to new city suburbs, just central post box depots.
This a serious problem for those who can't get post to their door or work places as rural people often can't get courier deliveries and often have to travel an hour to get to a centre to pick up too.

i was living in a country area where only mail delivery was to the local post office where i had a PO box, i just gave my house address and the guys at the post office popped a card into my box to let me know i had parcels to pick up.

Same here. I lived in a Mining Town in the NT for 15 years. We had a Post Office but no Postie.
4000 People in the town and we all had P.O.Boxes. Mind you any Courier would have to catch the Barge from Darwin to deliver!!
