Updating Saved Searches

Has anyone tried to update any of their old Saved Searches (or as eBay has nauseatingly renamed it....Searches you follow)?

I have tried twice to alter one of mine - days apart - and I keep getting this message: Sorry, we encountered an internal error. Please try again later.

I'd like to update a couple of them but I don't want to create brand new searches because the old ones have handy notes which eBay in it's infinite wisdom no longer has as an option.

I haven't been able to update my searches either, and now I'm not receiving email updates for the new searches I have had to create.

Yes I have set the search to send emails, and it is saying that they have been sent, but none have been received (and they aren't in the junk mail folder either)
