Many a stolen item has been listed for sale in other forms of media, not just Ebay Michelle. One would have to be a fool to try and get away with this one, and they didn't, which is good to see. Even after a rare item has been left low after being stolen, someone, somewhere will be alerted to it when offered for sale, no matter where it is advertised.

It's now in the Hands of the Police. It was found in a bag in Wodonga. Good, it can now go back to where it belongs. ๐

Oh I heard it was found in Moama! Ha ha doesn't really matter at least after the trial the Melbourne Football Club will get it back, the Demons have had some bad years of late maybe this will inspire them.

If a stolen item is advertised in a newspaper's classified section does that make everyone think that all readers are thieves? I don't think so,
The person who listed it on ebay could be the third or more person who had biught it totally unaware that it was stolen property, surely even those tsfe would think of that and not make any assumptions as to sellers in general.
There are probably thousands of stolen items listed on ebay, knowingly and unknowingly, every day all over the world and just like buying anywhere else it is not the selling venue's fault, the only person at fault is the original thief. Unfortunately they are oftwen so far back in the chain that they are never caught.
