I have recently received a Set of 3 Jeweled Black Square Cake Stands and I am extremely dissapointed in what they sent, the stands have chips and scratches in them, one of the glass inserts was loose and the biggest problem was THERE WERE NO JEWELS on any of the stands!!! That is false advertising, given the description said Brand New, Unopened. I have attempted contacting the seller to have the problem rectified and they came back asking for photos and insisted the jewels were in the box, which they werent! I sent photos and have yet to receive a reply, they waited until the next day and then had an out of office reply saying they are away for Chinese New Year, I waited until the end of today when they said they were available again, and still no reply.
Is there any recourse available against this seller?

Hopefully you did pay by PayPal, however don't let them string you along with promises, so that you miss the 45 day deadline for a dispute.
You realise of course that if you win the dispute. you'll have to return the items to Hong Kong by tracked and signed for mail, which probably won't be cheap, and only send to the address that PayPal gives you.
Please look at sellers feedback in future before you buy - theirs is not exactly encouraging with the amount of negs, neutrals and revised feedback.
Good luck with your problem.

*smirk*
this feedback was left for the purchase of a packet of balloons. (rainbow set) (so I presume different colours in the pictures)
"Bit disappointed, just received a bag of multicoloured balloons, no instructions"
No instructions?
for balloons, seriously?
They needed instructions??????

I agree open a paypal dispute for item not as described straight away. They will get to you much more quickly.
I also have the same message re Chinese New Year holiday from a seller of packaging, they are back on the 8th Feb apparently.
This is going to delay my items by 15 days.......pffft go figure.

Just a thought on the jewels that were missing, perhaps you could go to one of those craft shops and get some there, then make up your own for the stands.
