Please everyone need some help on this one..Purchased an expensive item( spent approx $350) from the US..I normally wouldnt spend this much with a seller i dont know but i put my trust in her..She listed with global shipping and  kindly agreed to relist  the listing with USPS for postage  for me as i dont like using global shipping..All this was done quickly and with great communication..I was very happy and paid her straight after making purchase with paypal. ( about 3 weeks ago) Then sent emails to ask when she would post and give me tracking number but days went by no reply..Finally she did respond and said she had been busy with schooling and would try post ( last monday) ..no communication back after me sending constant emails  until following friday and again said all was ok but she  was still busy  and didnt get a chance but would try post this monday once again  ( today)..I was getting really frustrated and said i'd wait for tracking  info today but really needed them posted for sure ..Nothing has happened today..Should i open case..I m anxious as its alot of money and what if she packs badly and damages them too..

Hi ..thanks for your cocern and added advice..I have been waiting for her to take the horses to the post office and let me know the price.She originally said they are packed up ready to go and if postage was higher she would tell me..As these are fairly big fragile models ive purchased i  have expected  her to ask me for another thirty dollars or so on top for priority ..I dont think she has realized how expensive they will be..I have had many things sent first class but i know that is up to a certain weight and these will out weigh a first class shipping...I will forward on another email to let her know id rather pay a bit more in postage to have them as safe as posssible like you said...( can only hope she responds to it)...got an awful feeling she wont pack them well )

If she is a collector too, I'm sure she loves them and wants them to arrive safely 🙂 The Medium box, if they will fit in that (with heaps of bubble wrap and cardboard reinforcement of the lining!), is really excellent as it is tracked right to your door. I have bought many, many things that have arrived quickly and safely in the Medium box. I always have to buy in bulk, but it's worth it. They used to cost $48.95 or something, but went up in the last USPS international postage price rise 😞 There is also a Large box but it costs more again.

Thank you and every body for suggestions and help....Keeping my Fingers crossed .....The seller emailed me this morning to say she is posting them and has sent a tracking number....

Open the case anyway - seriously, just to cover yourself.

Or at the very least, check the tracking number is a valid one.

Post from US takes long enough, without the seller adding to it with thier tardiness, they would get a neutral at best from me, quite shocking serivce IMO.

I will check the tracking number as you are right post comes slowly sometimes from the US and i could lose more valuable time with opening case..Seller told me postage came to 62.00 this morning ( i have already paid 30.00) on her first invoice but  had expected it to be higher and so i have now sent her another 32.oo payment through paypal....So i really hope ths has all been worth it

Sheesh, even if you do get the item, I would be leaving a big fat neg - this is ridiculous.

What gall to ask you to pay extra after the shoddy way you have been treated. Sellers like th is need a ***** good wake up call.
