What is it going to take to get this site to be pro-active and remove scammers?
There are thousands of members being ripped of each week,(if they simply gave up as these are listed in
categories without PP protection).
PP would be making a profit if they removed the money from the scammers accounts and then didn't release it
to the buyers,(after all there is no PP protection in Go-carts or Pocket Bikes).
With just 4 scammers below "selling" over 1500 items it could mean some of those and others that they tell
might never buy here again).
Completed "sales" over $5,000 : 251764719472 - 180 items "sold"
Over $11,000 with 15 items and growing : 281541602952 plus $2,500 on one item in completed - over
400 "sold"
Some of the ones below have been reported since the 7th of this month and the listings are still sitting there
in completed,
8 items,over $7,000 and growing : 281541489835 - over 200 sold
Over $5,000 in completed : 131384072546
Over $14,000 in completed : 331418415740 - 860 "sold"
Over $3,000 in completed : 171595679657
Over $5,000 in various scam items :221635381623
Over $3,000 "sold" and over $1,000 in completed from as far back as the 7th,(reported on a regular basis since
then).
The same with this one : 321603982273 , over $6,000 sold in completed.
This one is still up as well, over $20,000 in completed : 141488104893 , they now have over 40,(only 25 count
as there must be multi buyers).
A new one in go-karts with 13 items : 141488104893 ,gone through to completed and over 476 items "sold" for
over $8,000
New one in pocket bikes with 5 items : 371223634693 , none sold yet,but they could end ripping of members
for $1000's

They still have 2 current listings and have now "sold" nearly $2500 worth.

They also need subject matter experts (in-house or external).
For example, 390751445361 are fake 2N53 point contact (ie. historic) transistors for $1000. They need someone that knows the alpha gain characteristics of PCT and its relationship to beta gain. The beta gain and leakage figures presented are consistent only with alloy-type BJT (bipolar junction transistors), certainly not PCT. The vendor has been made aware of this (and how to test PCT very simply).
Joe.
They have been sacking their "experts" as they want members to report listings.
Which is a bit of an oxymoron as most reports seem to be completetly ignored as they have no idea why they
where reported in the first place,(their report links need updating)

Hi go-tazz,
I did report this item, but unless eBay have an expert to evaluate the report, they cannot determine if the item is indeed fake.
OTOH, I did have a very quick action by eBay when I opened a case regarding a fake FTDI chip I had received. Within seconds, they had ruled in my favour and issued me a refund! Seconds! I guess this is a more well-known issue, though.
Joe.

They aren't keen to remove this one for some reason, despite the seller having appalling feedback for the very same item 321633531689
When I first reported these ones several days ago, they had no sales recorded. Now the sales have gone through the roof. They have 9 listings and when first reported, they only removed the fake Makita. I have repeatedly reported them and eBay refuses to budge. This seller is making a killing and eBay refuse to do anything about it. 121533449017
I found some more dodgy listings yesterday. Only managed to report one before I had to go and do something else. Came back and all listings were gone and seller NARU.
