Fake products sold

Products sold not as described.

Sellers accounts in Australia when they are over seas.

Cant even get the Legal details of the Seller that I am entitled to by law, ( Australian Business Name and Number as well as direct contact number)

Seller still selling the same fake products after Ebay has been informed.

Seller still not suppling any contact details.

How many others out there face this? the only thing I can think of why Ebay does not control this is they only make money off each sale!!

My current Problem is with Seller "ozmarket2011" Danby Humidifier. advertsied as NEW.

Turns up, direct from China, Its a Fake copy, Its second hand, No Manual, Its dirty, Its not approved to be used in Australia, Its also broken and the power plug is UK!!!!!   The wheels underneath are very well worn and dirty from being used and pushed around......

The seller did not even ask for details or pictures of problems, they send me $5 junk and charge me $499 plus postage, now I have to pay for postage to send it back, yet under Australian law its fradulent to advertise an item that is far different from

Seller will not provide contact details, Nor will Ebay Help me, Seller is still selling these products, Seller offers me $100 cash back... what a joke, or they will refund but I have to pay for it to be sent back!!  what a joke, they do as they please and the buyers just Pay yet without Buyers where would Ebay BE.

Oh yeah and you call the call centre somewhere in the world and they follow a script as common sense is not heard of from my experince.

All above is my opionon only based on the current facts.

Shipping Within Australia:

Around $89 by freight Within AUS. Normally I will get my Sydney warehouse to send items to AUS customers BUT sometimes if the stock ran out in Sydney, I will need to interstock from the my other warehouses （ as I have four warehouses in Sydney, Tokyo, Berlin and Beijing) by Express which also take around 5-6 working days so please do not get suprised if it from overseas as its the world branding. Any Exchange can be made within Australia.

I do agree with you but I wish ebay would get rid of listings that are misleading with item location.

Maybe do a Paypal claim and state to Paypal that item location was in Australia and seller states exchange can be made in Australia in the listing also what the seller is doing is fraud.

Its a hard one.

Report the seller re location of goods.  There was a book seller who was recently forced to change the location from NSW to somewhere overseas, so eBay do act on this type of seller - occasionally:|

Agree with Emporium-if a seller states that rubbish about item MAY have to come from China,you can bet your last dollar it will because there is NO warehouse in Australia.

Open a dispute with Paypal & escalate to claim-if the return address isn't Sydney,I'd be on that phone to Paypal so fast their heads would spin lol

motherbearathome2011 I recently left that book seller 2 neutrals for this reason. Just checked and yes they have now changed their item location. Colour me surprised, as eBay rarely acts on these things, maybe they are learning!

They've also downgraded their item conditions.

It could be eBay, but it's more likely the negatives combined with the comments on their Fb page, the calls they probably got from the ACCC..... Given eBay don't act on other sellers who do the same thing with new books.

OP, there is also a Paypal clause that will allow you to not return the item if the postage outweighs the item value. Which can often happen with sending items OS through AP.

Well its like this.

My feed back was removed as the seller filed a defamation case, yet what I stated was true, and no one advised me or discussed what is legallly mine.

Ebay will not obtain the min Legal information I am entitled to from the Seller, Australian business name and Number as well as contact details, the seller told Ebay they updated the number but when I checked its still the same, direct to a fax.
I filed a claim in Paypal and yes sure they will refund my money but only after I re package it and pay for the LARGE parcel to be sent back to them, so seller has no costs and Buyer looses money.

I cannot send the item back as its not what I ordered and therofre I do not reconise it and have left it outside my house due to not receiving it as its not what I ordered, The seller now must have it removed at their cost or I will charge storage!
I have also found out through Ebay that this seller has a different email address yep you guessed it a " HOTMAIL" acount and a user name os POWERSELL2008, I checked on Ebay and guess what there is an account and selling the same products and the pages and wording are the same!   if youy look at the bottom of every page they have a very faint wording that is a link to a chinese website which is there own!!   so they are redirecting people to it as well!!

The Item should not be in Australia, it has no conformance or identification plate, it has a UK power plug as well, its second hand.

It clerly appears to be a fake copy, I have contacted Danby direct, I will be filing claims with Consumder affairs and also the ATO as I cannot get any legal infomation about this business that appears to be clearly in breach of our laws yet they have control of the whole situation!

After seeing how big their accounts are they have a lot of money behind them and the ATO should be very interested in speaking to them.

Our laws are so out dated its not funny, they protect the overseas people in ripping off Australian people it appears.

If you receive Fake goods then they are to be handed to the police, Yet Paypal and EBay demand you send the fake products back at your expence or you dont get your money back...... I thought that is illgal as its helping the person get away with copyright !!
