I opened a case for significantly not as described item yesterday. This what it looks like
today:
When I click on the link next to the message nothing happens. When I go to the VIEW in the table there is only my message, but the button to escalate is there. Should i just escalate?

You should have been told when you could escalate.
I opened a case just before Christmas and I found it a very unsatisfactory experience......there was nowhere to allow me to escalate the dispute but ebay did it automatically on the day they said it could be done.
There was nowhere for me to contact the seller and nowhere for him to contact me.
I actually had to ring up to get any action at all.

Thank. Oh, well, I just escalated it. They seem to be making it more and more difficult; to start with they hid the resolution centre in the "MORE" drop down menu on the right hand top. Then you can only put photos in the original post, and not when you are escalating it. Fortunately I remembered it and put the pictures when I started the case, but I have couple more photos I wanted to include......
As i nowadays shop almost exclusively on line I do open few cases a year, I imagine person who never done it has no chance.
