I'd like to know why there's a problem with posting bought goods out of the States? I'm very disappointed with this when do not have this problen elsewhere. Why does this site let people buy things only to find you can't pay for them because some narrow minded people won't post internatinally on an international site. I will leave negative feedback when this happens, and I mean it, no exceptions!

I recently, yesterday in fact, had a buyer/seller? from Italy inquire about an item they were interested in me shipping to them, (regular shipping of course, no insurance, never mentioned which item), they had a local seller f/back of 96.6%, and I can honestly say I never even bothered responding to them, as I knew they were trying to scam me.
The funny thing is though, is that I have full non international sale blocks in place, which they obviously came up against when they tried to purchase from me, but this peep thought that they could circumvent them with a few sweet lines.
I know It's not the states, but it does not matter where, posting internationally is fraught with potential problems, and I for one will never do it.

Well andre, man of clocks, it seems you did get that snide, malicious, neg in for some poor unsuspecting, totally innocent US seller who, OMG, wouldn't post to New Zealand.
Well let's see how that works out for you.
Have a nice day, Anthony

Why are there so many sellers on eBay who will not ship out of the US?
Because they don't want to and they don't have to.

Based on chats I have had with quite a few U.S.sellers over the years, it's mostly because U.S. ebay.com sellers have a deep distrust of the ebay system and do not want to risk their seller ratings. Many took hits over shipping costs & delivery times. This affected their search placements & some were even penalised with loss of fee discounts. They also took hits on the PayPal accounts. So ... they stopped trading internationally.
The ebay.com solution was to do away with seller discounts & introduce the expensive Pitney Bowes solution. For many, this was no advantage to them. It affords little protection of DSR's/feedback & PayPal accounts & does nothing to engage their trust with ebay.com ..... so they excercise their freedom of choice & still don't trade internationally, despite ebay including their listings on ebay.com.au.
In other words, what DG said ^ .

@ Crikey
Don't worry -- I only found out a while ago that there's no longer a NZ ebay, so you're not the only one. There used to be, because I bought on NZ ebay years ago
Kiwis didn't favour ebay as much as their own online auction site, named Trade-me or something like that
I remember falling into conversation with a New Zealander once and she explained that generally speaking, NZ-ers are way smarter than Aussies. They proved they're too smart for ebay ...
