I am hoping for some assistance here as so far I have received none from Ebay customer service.
I am attempting to place an offer which has already been verbally accepted by the seller, but every time I enter my bid I receive two red messages saying that I haven't been through phone verification (which I have) and that there was an 'issue' in processing my offer.
To date I have a spotless record with purchasing and paying for items, so I have no idea as to what this so-called issue is.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated:)

Today is freaky friday, eBay maintenance. Strange things happen.
Try a little later otherwise ask the seller to add your eBay ID to their buyer requirements exemption list.
That often works.

Just a bit off topic but I'm hoping it's due to freaky friday also but I placed a bid on an item and it had just over a day to go.
I was still the only bidder and the buy it now price had disappeared due to my bid but when I went to check on the listing it was gone.
Decided to find it and to see what had happened, apparently the seller canceled the listing and then restarted it so I again have bid on it at the auction start price and again the BIN has gone.
But the funny thing about the listing is that the seller has in the description (no time wasters please)
Really?

If you've sent a message to the seller, they can reply with an offer. Presumably the agreed one. You then just need to accept it.
Probably the easiest option in the circumstances.

Hmm, as kopenhagen said, maybe it was a seller who assumed their buy it now price was a reserve?
Does it seem to be someone who has not sold much or is fairly new to ebay?
You'll soon know if that was the reason I suppose, if they also cancel this auction. If they do it might be worth sending a polite message to explain how it all works. Is the buy it now price a lot more than you wanted to pay?

Thanks to those who replied to this topic. After receiving two messages from the seller asking me to find her on Facebook I decided against this purchase. I also received a message from customer care with an actual phone number, which I will keep for future referance. Thanks again for taking the time to respond
