Why can't I see "watch this item" when browsing?

I have been browsing through some jewellery and looking at 200 items per page list format and most items have the little "watch this item" underneath the title and other info but some items don't have the watch this item for me to click on.

I have noticed it has been mainly one seller and they are Ice Jewellery Online and they are the seller I want to be able to click on their items to watch.

Why is this option not available unless I actually look at the item listing and then I can choose to watch it.

Having to open up every listing is a real time waster.

I see some of their listings have variations and some don't - if you view all of their listings, are you able to see the watch link on the listings without variations?

As DG explained the ones with more options,(the variations) don't show the Watch this item.

The watch link is showing for me on their other items.

Thank you, it didn't occur to me that it was the options items I couldn't watch.
