Why, when I bid on an item, is my user ID shown, and not an anonymous name, as suggested by eBay?

If you sign out by clicking on your name top left, then sign out, if you look at an item you are bidding on, you will see that your ID has been altered also.

Noone else can see who you are, but you can see your own ID when signed in.

It is the same for everyone 🙂
