You will have to contact the seller and ask him/her to cancel the items you do not want.  But you need to be aware that they are not obliged to cancel.   Once you hit the Buy button the seller has been charged fees on that sale and often they prefer to open an unpaid item dispute to get their fees back.

As a buyer you cannot cancel the sale....are you sure you have only bought 3 items.

Check in your Purchase History to see how many items you are commited to buy before you contact the seller.

If you clicked and confirmed BUY NOW, you are committed, that is why you are given the opportunity to confirm.  You should check all the details of the purchase before making that committment.  You will need to contact the seller and ask them to cancel the purchase so that you can reorder the correct quantity.  The seller is not obligated to do so, and some will not cancel as they can be hit with a defect from eBay for doing so in some circumstances.  If they refuse, all you can do is not pay, they will then open an unpaid item dispute and you will get a strike against your account.  This is nothing to worry about unless it is not the first time this has happened, in which case you may find yourself unable to buy from some sellers who use the automated system to block repeat non-paying buyers.

Just a thought, you would have had to enter the quantity when buying, and confirm it at checkout, did you simply make an error and enter/confirm 3 instead of 2, or was the item being sold in lots of three?  If that is the case, you may well be unable to change the quantity at all. If the seller sells this item in threes, that is their choice, they may not want to sell in smaller quantities, or they may come packaged that way.

Cheers,
