i realise this is probably nothing, but i have had the best offer from a seller re-buttled. they only want to take 15 cents off the price of the item

You missed the point, It should not be left to the members to share show give or advise anything. Ebay is not theres.


 


It should be ebays problem they charge enough they should have a helpline for those who need help and give them exactly that, not refer them to a board that is bias and leaning towards the sellers or treat the enquirer with contempt and arrogance as if there stupid and it all there fault, There are thousands that have issues with ebay but they dont come here your lucky if you get 6 a day thats because they dont want to be confronted buy such bully tactics. Just go back and look at old threads and see how ferociously evil some have been.


 


And dont tell me it does not happen theres thread after thread about the hostile enviroment that bubbles away in this place, I have many family members who came here just once read a few stories and left in disgust and told me about it thats why Im here now and you know what there spot on. And its like this because ebay dont want to deal with it and it saves them money.


 


This is why its always the same people here with there underhanded snide remarks as if there superior to all those other ebayers. And the real people seeking help come once and then in disgust disappear never to venture back or when they do its just to read if they got it right first time and never comment or ask advice again.


Most even have admitted in that it has been a very intimidating place for newbies to come Ive read the threads and shore you are attempting to change, Problem is it appears your all actually some what blind to how you react treat or come arcoss to most people hence you should not be giving advice to strangers. And is heavly seller focused hence the the bias with in the community


 


If this was truely set up to help ebayers where are all the real people in need of help seeing there thousands currently with some sort of issue with ebay. Justified or not.


 


This should be a welcoming thriving community not a help desk with the same dozen of bias individuals driving of anyone who may enbark on challenging there supposed expertise.


 


And I intends saying here and learning to word my objections as to not continually be banned as I have been something like 7 times now and threatened to have my ebay account shut down buy ebay if i continue to raise my objections in a manner that does not suit there bias controlling ways.


 


This entire concept reeks of socialisum and should be stomped on buy anyone who believes in free speach unity and the Australian way not Ebays ways.

nah, I see your point.  I just don't agree with it.  Members who use eBay are in the best position to advise those who need help.  I am sure you have a lot to offer (although I think at times you do get bogged down in disputes with others rather than helping out opening posters - sorry, it just seems that way from where I sit)


 


How often do we read about Australian members receiving standard "cut and paste" replies when they try to get help direct from eBay representatives, or complaints that when they phone eBay they end up speaking to someone in some far off land?


 


Well, I am here in north-west Victoria.  I have experience in buying and selling from the viewpoint of living in a relatively isolated area.  I understand the issues surrounding postage to and from places outside of the state capitals.


 


I don't know everything there is to know about eBaying e.g.  One area I have little experience in is selling 'Pick-up only' items, and areas where I have NO experience is using C&Send, transferring funds from my PayPal account to my bank account (every cent I get from selling goes towards my buying), and posting items internationally.


 


I don't offer advice on topics on which I have little or no knowledge of from first hand experience.

Thats fine, Im happy you have replied in a respectable manner. 


And I do not expect you to just simply agree with me everyone is entitled to there own opinion regardless who does or does not agree with it.


 


But it does not change the facts im afraid.


 


And yes I probably do get to involved with others but thats because I do not agree with there attitudes at times. There opinions are theres and there entitled to them but there actions should not be tollerated at times. There is a stark difference.


 


And my point about ebay having a help line is not one which is a automated computer program or an overseas consultant who can not grasp what is being asked of them and skirt issues with what ever it takes to move the particular person on.


 


Im refering to a helpdesk run buy Australians in Australia for Australians who understand what is being asked of them and can give the proper assistance that a site and company of this magnitude should be offering.  If you want peoples money you should supply them with the goods just as we individuals have to when we sell on ebay. Its ebays company property business and they should be doing the right thing buy those they take funds from or and those who support there business and help make and ensure it thrives and survives.
